Is it even my business to judge someone for the decisions they make.. probably not. But I'm still kind of unhappy she made the decision to have kids at that age depriving them of what would have been the most important person of their life. She could have been a 25 yr old and cancer could have still struck so it isn't the death I have an issue with, it's the life they would've had to live. If she had lived, at 13, they would've been the ones helping her with pills and moving her about.

If some poor family has a terrible car accident where the husband died and the wife ended up a Quadriplegic, what would your views be then... or is that somehow different?
There are situations that I find much more offensive than this... namely those where children are brought into this world and then for all intents and purposes abandoned to fend for themselves.
My wife and I intentionally had a child after 40 so he could wheel me around and get me my meds. He's only three now, so I have to walk on my own for two or three more years. :(

I had a great degree of trepidation fathering a child at 39 considering my health, but the odds were a damn sight better that either this woman ro Tony Randall.....and I have taken fairly great steps to ensure that I take better care of myself.

It's just that I've been watching my gran grudgingly age and the 69-79 period seems to be the most changing period of a person's life. I can't imagine her trying to run after 5 year olds.. She's just gone a bit wobbly on the feet. Similarly, a younger disabled lady who decides to have kids later on.. if she knows she can do it then why not.. but if she's incapable of even feeding herself. then what?
It really does depend on case to case (as if my stamp of approval or disapproval really matters..the kids could be the happiest ones ever, I can't be the judge of that, burdened, yes, happy, I wouldn't know).. The family (whom I'm making an assumption has kids) never did make the choice to have that terrible accident.. At 12, those kids would have had a 79 yr old mum. That was a choice.. I just believe it wasn't a practical one.

All this time I thought that cute little scudder was your grandson. Wow. Did you use blue M&Ms? Does your CYD problem affect performance?
