OK, so CS4 keeps locking up and shutting down on me. At least 2-3 times in an 8-10 hour period, and I lose whatever I was working on. So now I have to try to remember to hit the "save" frequently when working. I can't figure out why it's happening. Maybe my system isn't up to the task anymore and it's time to rebuild.
This is the system:
Win Vista 64
Intel Core 2 6600@2.4GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT
6GB RAM
about 200GB free HD space on 3 internal drives for PS temp files
Has anyone else experienced PS CS4 doing this, and IS THERE AN AUTOSAVE FEATURE????? Even as well as I know PS, I'm having a heck of a time finding it! I have "Auto-Update Open Documents" checked, but when a document closes unexpectedly, it is never "updated". I've seen some "plug-in" autosave programs ostensibly for Photoshop, but have not ventured there yet.
Any help/direction appreciated, this is so frustrating!
