I'm posting this for my son. His band "Number One Dad" wants to play at the Nervosity benefit "battle of the bands" concert here in Tawasentha park; But they need votes first in order to compete, and to determine the order of the bands that play. Right now, it's just one of those web popularity voting things, per the instructions:
VOTING: Once your band is signed up, your band name will be entered on the Nervosity Voting Page within 24 hours. To be able to compete in Nervosity you must be in the top 11 Bands of voting. Simply send your friends, family, and neighbors to this page, and have them vote for your band. Number of votes will also determine the set time of each band, with the last slot going to the band with the most votes. So go ahead and get the word out!
they just updated the stats..he got 40 more votes or so but they dropped to 8th!
Late last night my son just explained why it's so important to him that they are number one on this list (even though the first 11 bands qualify): number one goes LAST. If they aren't late in the program, he may not be able to play at all (he's in a production of "You're a good man Charlie Brown" at NYSTI that same day...he needs his band to play last, so he can return from his show to play in the band!

I just looked to see where your son's band ended up. Seems they made the top eleven, but only just. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but it appears voting is still open. Anyone who hasn't voted should give Neil's son a vote, he only needs a few hundred to get on top.
There must have been some heavy last minute voting and unfortunately, Joel's band not only didn't end up on top, they didn't even make the 11 band cut.
