I posted a photo of the sculpture in my portfolio, in case anyone's curious about it. It's not the original of my entry. I took this today thinking I might need it. :)

And I don't want to complain, but just want to say that I am amazed by the choice of the members in this challenge.
Looking at some of the top 10 images, my impression is they seem to like the slightly more real objects, the abstractions of a recognisable objects or pieces of art, rather than the full unrecognisable abstracts of color, shape, structure.
I expected the challenge description to create a stronger preference for the non recognisable.

Yes, I wasn't surprised to finish so low given my score, but was surprised how low my score was (I hit 5.2 mid week), given I had gotten such nice comments, and I was pretty happy with my image.
It seems I was showered in a slightly above quota number of 3's. I'd love to hear from people what made them vote that way. Otherwise, I am just figuring that this group had a different take on what abstract was.
Your's certainly met my definition. Nicely done.
I note that I can't seem to think like the average DPC user; I seldom pick the right winners! (meaning in my votes; I never pick a winner in my shots!)
