My new camera. Here are some images that I took with my new camera.
The camera is still far from being a replacement for a DSLR but its a joy to use, its truly pocketable and has a pretty good high ISO. Its lacking the shutter priority but not a big deal in real world. The aperture is fixed Wide: F3.3 – F9.0 Tele: F5.1 - F14 (the latest values being obtained with ND filter therefore not a real opening of the iris but at this size of the sensor really do not affect much the DOF)

for awhile i was looking for a 'carry it everywhere' cam and i was awaiting for a decent review wich indeed appeared a few days ago in dpreview

I loved my old Fuji, but there is just no point and shoot replacement for DSLR. These are some great point and shoot photos.. great for an occasion where a DSLR is too much, however, I agree with you, no replacement for the DSLR. Still, some of the best I've seen from a PnS cam.
I am also a fan of the Fuji sensor system. It looks like the new P&S has the same sensor that the S3 uses. I have used several Fuji P&S cams, the A 320, A 820, and A 920. I keep the A 920 with me all the time now, because it's handy while I am out and about, or at work. Some of the better shots in my portfolio have been done with the little P&S Fuji cams. As you point out, the low light performance is not the best with the older ones. I hope that the new Z200 will solve that, and that I can get one sometime down the road. I love the brilliant color that the Fuji P&S's produce.
I also use the A 920 a lot as a copy device. When someone gives me a biz card, I shoot it, then I don't have to keep up with the paper one. It's also handy for getting the name and spec tag info of any kind of machine that I may be working on. Having the P&S handy makes for a lot of uses that would otherwise not be available.
impressive photography! i remeber my excitement when i saw that fuji came out with a new sensor for their compact series last year at the photokina.
i have both my slr fuji S3 and the p&s F30 and am really impressed about the wide dynamic range and low noise levels of these cams. pity that fuji gave up on the manual settings (av/tv, contrast, sharpening etc.) on their latest p&s's...
