Here are some new photos from the workshop day a few weeks ago.
This is Danielle, she is a fellow photog that dressed up for us that day.Lit with one strobe facing the camera, but not directly as not to light the wall,and a reflector to bounce light back to light her face.
Overall I like them a lot, with the exception of the first one. I see a bit of haloing from the sharpening and that large hand draws the eye quite a bit. The lighting on all of them is very well done.
Thanks for the comments. really not a lot of processing, mostly on the skin to highlite areas. Danielle was perfect for this.
In hindsight maybe I should have stayed with my initial free study entry. Danielle 3.
My entry is taking a hit. 7ish down to 6.5ish overnight.( I know its early).

i love these shots especially the blue tones, very steely :) great job (as with all you photos that ive seen) and particularly, great job on the lighting i really love the focus drawn to her face through the background lighting. my fave is the 3rd one i love the little variance in the steely blue background to the left hand side of the photo and i also love the body positioning in it. great use of a wide angle for portraiture IMO.

Just curious where do you see the haloing?
A bit around the hair, but especially her right shoulder. Maybe haloing isn't the right term if interpreted like tonemapping halos. It's a whitish line that follows along her should and towards arm. In the lower contrast areas I don't see it.
