Your new average is the sum of the difference between the new score an individual gaves you minus the old average divided by the total number of votes now counting the new voter. The difference between the new average and the old one is used to figure out what score the new voter just gave you.

Actually, I do not but I just happened to be curious what vote I would need to get to up my average score to the next higher 1/10 point and figured that out. Just so happened a voter score me at that moment, so I decided to figure out what score they gave me.

You are right, that could be true but the net result is still the same. The difference in the later case is that more than one voter deserves thanks!
Come to think of it, if all voters go back and change their score for my image to 10 then I could thank them all. And, I would!! :)
Well - after Kylie's comments - I had to go take a peek. She's right, you do have dynamite stuff! I'm jealous that you live in (or visit) Sedona regularily.
I wish a few voters would go up my scores too - I've been hovering at 5.92 - 5.94 on rusted most of the day. Sure would like to get above 6.
Man I gave out a 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, and a 3 today, abstract I have voted 15% so far, lol maybe it was me that gave ya a 8! I dont know why some people vote so low sometimes, its not as if it would help their own score do better. Blue ribbon winners should be getting 9.999 averages atleast, thats my opinion.
It does not seem quite right when you see perfect photos scoring only in the upper 6s or low 7s but this is a good group with widely varying opinions and everyone is not going to agree.
