- You find it painful to watch most sci-fi movies; the science is all wrong
- TV shows, same thing
- You take issue with the "right" answers on your daughter's science tests
- You can actually explain the concepts of special relativity... without referring to a text.
- You've actually read Darwin's "Origin of species"
- You know who came up with the concept of communications satellites (hint: his name is metioned early in this thread)
- You know which hollywood actress received a US patent for spread spectrum communications... and you know why the concept of spread spectrum communications is important
- Your computer has processed over 1000 SETI@Home work units
- You track your gas mileage to the nearest 0.1 mpg, but you never balance your checkbook
- You have ever plotted your DPC scores as a function of time
- Extra point if you have ever done statistical analysis of your DPC scores
- Another extra point if you've ever posted the results...

Ever since I bought the 828 I’ve been carrying the thing over my shoulder in a bag that looks disconcertingly like a purse. I go to work with it and shopping. I went to dinner and it was slung over the shoulder. It’s like a curse. I have to bring it everywhere and I had to have bought this girly bag. Good Grief!

- I've programmed at least 40 graphing calculator games and screen savers (currently working on hangman), and hardly ever show them to anyone.
- Yes I have plotted and analyzed my DPC scores
- I carry scotch tape around in my backpack and keep the end of the tape folded over, so it is more accesible.
- I really enjoy looking up big words, and using them (epiphenominalism is one of my favs, and recently I found that I am a nemophilist)
- I read the New Yorker, that is, only the comics.
- I wear hand knitted wool socks...during summer
- I guess I'm just geeky and nerdy enough to post this in this forum!

Okay, here's how I measure up according to Kirbic:

And a few of my own:
-You have Periodic able boxers
-You brag about it on DPC
-Programmed the calculator to do the Algebra in 7th grade and have all your classmates mad at you because they think you're cheating and they tell the teacher and you plea your case by stating the fact that you have to understand Algebra in the first place to program Algebra into the Calculator
-Taught yourself html when you were bored
-Taught yourself any other language or script for that fact, just for the fun of it
-Enjoyed physics and calculus so much that you had Math buddies and can recall fun times in Math, that were actually realated to the material
-Carry a Palm-Pilot on your belt like a cell-phone
-Have programmed a game or two in your time
I play with Lego.
Paying for electricity and phone/dsl is more important than heat and breakfast cereal...
P.s. I own 3 Palm Pilots (1 working). 3 digital cameras (only use one). I check out my score on dpchallenge before the news.
