Well, my initial calculation showed we could purchase 48,500 medical centers costing 200 million each. Then I realized they'd need an operating budget, so lets give them each a budget of 1 billion dollars. That brings us down to 8083 medical centers/hospitals to scatter about this fair land. I think we could put the insurance industry out of business quite handily. I suspect it would take at least 5 to 10 years to build out these centers so mucho construction jobs for at least 10 years. So our friends that cross the border into the US will be able to support themselves and their families back home south of the border.
But in reality what we will get will be MUCH LESS. A very large part of the 9.7 trillion will be used to line the pockets of people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, among others. Because these people simply can't be allowed to fail. :) |
