Wouldn't it be nice if any time someone inserted a thumbnail of one of your shots anywhere on the site, you would be automatically notified by email? Maybe that feature is already available?
It's just very frustrating to be nominated for an award and not find out about it unless someone mentions it in a post-challenge comment...

What a great idea! (and not just for side-awards, but for thumbs used in any general forum message)
While I don't think it would get as out of hand as the quoting thing... would you still get notified if someone quotes the person who posted a thumb of your image? I'm just trying to explore all the possibilities here...

I guess almost anything could get out of hand. Maybe it could be a setting like the threads? You can opt to have an email each time your thumbnail is used, or maybe just a daily summary?
Or maybe it can be set so that the quote does not include the thumbnail? I have no idea how this stuff works anyway, so it may not be possible...
