I spend most of my time in front, not behind, the camera at a wedding since I perform the services. However, there are people looking for English speaking photographers etc. to do there weddings at a level they would get back home. My prices are matched with those at other companies, only I spend more than a week on the album.
Anyways, I have done just a handful of weddings since I get paid more doing the actual services. However, a friend of a friend wants a foreign photographer in Japan to do her wedding. It will be a Shinto style wedding done at a shrine. I have never done the photography for a shinto wedding and although I've been invited many times to weddings, I've only been to one (Yawn)...
Would you drop the price for a wedding style you've never done before, to either 'warn' the person that your photos may not be like others' or to simply have the opportunity to get something like this in your portfolio? |
