Seems my monitor is brighter than it should be. I have a shoot in couple hours. Just a test shot. Hows the brightness or darkness. I adjusted my monitor, looks OK on my side...How's the base lighting?....Thanks for the Help......(gotta love grandkids...Lol)
Looks pretty good here. I can see all the details in the background Nothing appears blown or overly dark. I do know my monitor at home is just a touch more saturated than my calibrated monitor at work.

This one on my monitor looks Ok, a little dark in the back ground, it appears I need to turn up my back light. But when I print it, the back ground is good and the faces are slightly blown. Processing, curves to lighten, contrast and a little saturation.
compared to this one which looks flat on my monitor and dark, but when I print it, it's almost right on. The only processing is a little contrast & sat.
Do you guys process differently when printing to web up loads?

I definitely process different for prints. You have to, the color spaces are completely different. For printing I stay in Adobe RGB, and for the web I switch to sRGB. Never, never go by what a shot looks like on your monitor for printing unless you have hardware calibration set up for just that purpose. If you don't have calibration, then it's kind of a guessing game, and it can take a few test prints to get the look right, IMO and experience.
K10DGuy.....Thank you!!! I was going crazy. I have it pretty much down for printing. I just couldn't understand why the processing was so different on the web. Since I use a gray card when shooting studio shots. All I have to do is make sure my exposure is good, add a little contrast, very little saturation to print. Half way through processing the images from todays shoot. I'll up load some of the better shots to share. Thanks for all the help guys/gals!!!

No problem. Also, I completely missed that "my monitor is calib" at the bottom of the post I responded to. hehe.
Here's a couple of shots I really like. They're printing pretty well. Not too concerned now on the brightness, but any suggestions on compostion, pose or other things you might see let me know. My 2nd session this year with young kids, I'm finding the 2yr olds are much tougher than the 4&5yrs olds...Lol
