Well I suppose in depends on how strict your definition of a portrait is but to me these five images are all in my favourites and are the types I like.
I prefer to see real people with emotion and hints on the subjects personality. I’m not real keen on your traditional beautiful model in make-up type portrait.
Some of mine may be considered "candids" rather than formal portraits, and these are from a bit back. Figure some of our newer members might not have seen a few of these.

These are my five favorite from my favorites. I'm sure if I went through all my favorite photographers the results may be difrferent... I guess it really depends on what type of mood I am in.
I don't have time to come up with 5, but these two have always given me goosebumps. I'm a sucker for kids. Both of these were taken by the parent of the child, and to me the love for their child and the personality of the child radiate from the photos.

His pants are too low. It gives the wrong idea to young boys about pants and where they should wear them. We went through a similar phase in the 80's with Bon Jovi. I just don't want to see our youth make big mistakes.
