I think he is doing just fine. Nice, honest, and worthwhile feedback. A lot more than "doesn't meet challenge", or "que padre". Let's all catch the spirit!!

Your comments are great as is but I thought I'd let you know about something that helped me when I was giving CC critiques. I'm not suggesting you SHOULD use this but thought I'd let you decide:
I have a template with these headings and try and ensure that I cover all if I can. If one or more doesn't seem relevant I delete it.
Initial thoughts A brief summary of how the image strikes me on first look.
Composition/ Content For composition I look at layout, balance, position within the frame of the key subject(s) and of any other items, lines, angles, etc.
For content I might discuss how content strikes me emotionally, or whether I think it works.
I also offer any suggestions I have on improvements (in my opinion only, of course) such as a different crop or giving more space between subject and edge of frame etc.
Background If there is anything specific to the background that could be improved or that strikes me as particularly good I'll comment. Many photogs concentrate on the main subject to the exclusion of the backdrop and that can make or break the image IMO.
Camera Work - Technical If relevant I'll comment on focus, DOF, etc. I might suggest ideas for changing aspects of that such as faster shutter speed etc. Again, this is all related to my personal opinion of what might improve the image in my eyes.
Digital Processing - Technical I might comment on how I feel about a choice to desaturate or add toning. Also if there is poor image quality in terms of compression or noise.

My Opinion On The Photo A summary of the above and perhaps the score I awarded, if I feel it's relevant.
i appreciate your template kavey, but like i mentioned before this is a club of subjective criticism :) and i really rather not follow any pre-desgned template, i just like to express how i feel about the photos as best as i can in a subjective way. i have no desire of trying to make a objective review of the photos i comment on..my main focus point is that i assume a person gets happy when he or she gets a comment in their picture and the longer it is the bigger the grin on their face gets, so that is the rule of thumb i try to follow, and if my critique helps them technically, than it would be like taking 2 birds with one stone..
after all remember the club motto: "a better world through subjective criticism"
I got to hand it to ya,, I would defanetly be smiling too after reading a comment from ya, yall just look at this!!!! Some great photos share how you made them!!
Still laughing and got the kids rolling all over the floor too!!

That's cool - it's a template I found helpful when trying to gather my thoughts but... any (non-rude) comments are appreciated, certainly by me, anyway!
