It is indeed, a fun wonderful thing. I've actually heard some whine and complain about "having" to go shoot a concert (I assume on assignment from their employer) -- yeah, I WISH more of us had those "problems." Geeze, if you can't enjoy shooting a concert, maybe you should get another job/assignment. ;) Annnnnyway, I digress...

I also HIGHLY recommend Concert Photograpy: How to Shoot and Sell Music Business Photographs by Mulhern/Sievert/Wheeler.
D90 is a fine camera for it. If the lenses in your profile are what you're working with, I'd recommend considering buying or renting something faster, if that's feasible. With sensor on the D90, though, you might be able to push your iso up enough to get away with those lenses -- but you'll be a lot happier with something that opens to 2.8 or better.
