Oh, awesome! Works with the selection tool also! Never knew that. The units read out in whatever units are selected for the rulers: I have my rulers set to "pixels" in preferences, so the read out is in pixels for me, which is how I'd want it to be. It's hard for me to work in "inches" in PS since that scale changes in absolute terms depending on the resolution you've assigned to the image.
