I do like shooting trees. The week or so prior to the challenge, I'd wandered out on a very cold foggy morning and shot this one - the wallpaper on my home computer:
So I wanted to try to get it again. Went out a different morning after the challenge was announced, but the fog and light was decidedly different, which is OK - different looks are good, too. Got this one, which is my wallpaper on my work computer:
Same tree, different look. Couldn't stand as far left as the first time - ground no longer frozen and that mud weighs a TON when stuck to your shoes. Learned that the hard way when out shooting this one:
The one that ended up in the challenge is just a field or so over from the first two - take a left at the tree, walk down a ways, and you come to the tree I shot for my entry. We have some awesome trees around here! |
