What's the point of having 2 threads for the same thing?

Connor posts a table showing where you are relative to everyone else rather then you having to sift through
stacks of posts
Again, as I said earlier in this thread, he could use the information in the one thread that was already running and do any calculations he wants. It is just very confusing for the rest of posters to know which thread to post scores.

By the same token you could argue that there are other photographic competition web sites, many of which were around before this one and therefore by your own logic we should all abandon this one and submit our images to a different site.

We are all referring to this site, these specific challenges, and one score thread.
Yes I agree in that I took an extreme in order make a point and of course I was in no way serious about not
posting to this site.
The point I am making is that most of us like choice, and most of us are able to cope with two or three choices.
The idea of limiting, in this case, threads on given subjects based upon who managed to create one firts is not only a little narrow minded but also shows prefernce to those in certain time zones

I have no idea what you are talking about...I am merely stating that having two threads covering the same topic is annoying. I am done now...i seem to be in on an argument that I do not and care not to understand...
The point here is that it doesn't really matter what score threads there are as we are all, I am sure, capable of deciding which one to post to if any.
If you prefer one thread to another then simply use the one you prefer and please refrain from posting comments like "Why are there two threads" on the one you prefer not to use.

Sure it does because the social NORM here (and pretty much expected by the SC) is that we don't have multiple threads on the same topic. Which is actually the norm for most internet forums.

I'm not sure I fully understand the random use of uppercase here as my understanding is that it is the internet norm to represent shouting; but on the understanding that what you say regarding SC expectation is correct, who decides which thread should prevail?
