How are we supposed to know if a tree is single??? See if it has a "ring"!!! :)
My first thought when I saw this challenge was that someone would make a play on "single" and have a tree on match.com or something. Fair warning, I'll find ya and slap ya if ya do! ;-)
I've got a great shot, I think, for this challenge. However, I shot it last month. I'd like to go duplicate it, but the weather is not cooperating. Nothing but sunshine and blue skies. Not a cloud to be seen for the past 3 days. I need clouds!!
Too many trees? (This is not elgible for the challenge for a couple of reasons- first it is a pano of three images and second it was taken outside the challenge dates).

I would imagine this would be OK, the single tree is the main subject, the other ones are background elements. Mind you, while it certainly meets challenge, there's bound to be some voters out there who take the "there's more than one tree, there should only be one tree, you have too many trees, DMNC", type attitude. What can you do!

I have been trying to do shots a bit different from the usual DPC stuff lately (colorful sunsets over water- even though I live in a beach area) but I do still follow the idea of "When in doubt, crop it out" and don't stray too far from the catetory. You still need to know your audience and don't give them an excuse to not like what you are trying to do. This one has the potential to be boring to vote on (although there were a lot of interesting shots in the first one) so I hope to try to stand out a little bit. We shall see what the voters think.
