From the results of my contrast test photos I am thinking that we have a range of monitors setup running. If this is true it is going to make judging a bit hard. The test image below is meant to test the gamma of your monitor, this is nothing new but I thought it would be a good idea to get a sampling of what people are seeing.
It is quite possible that people are not seeing your photos that way you are. I'm not going to say what I think is right or wrong at this point, I would just like to know if we really are seeing things in a different light so to speak. The most likely reason for the differences would be the difference between the Mac and the PC.
Please take a second to look at the image below and reply as to which side seems closer in brightness to the center. It may help to backup just a bit for this, or remove your glasses. If you could also say whether you are using a Mac or a PC that would be a help.
