File > Automate > Batch... in Photoshop can do wonders once you've recorded an action that does what you want.
I recently set up an action to resize a photo to web-size, apply a little USM, add the word "PROOF" to the photo, emboss it, change the transparency of the layer, then add a copyright statement, change the transparency of that text layer, flatten the image, and save it. I can now prepare a bunch of photos for client presentations in a few minutes.
P.S. File > Automate > Fit Image... is a great way to resize a picture to a "maximum" dimension, regardless of whether it is portrait or landscape orientation. I use it in the action referenced above. |
