Just looked again at the ribbon winners for Silhouettes and I'm sure we all agree that all three are great photographs.
well, when I say "all agree" clearly I'm mistaken
Each of the shots has attracted a "1" from some voter.
Now, while I understand that opinions and taste's are different, none of these shots deserves a "1"
Do the council remove "bad voters"? i.e. people who are aren't voting within the spirit of the site. I've read so much recently about submissions being within the sprit of the site and submissions holding photography in the highest regard.......but what about the voters?
As has been said many times, "there is no accounting for taste." Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how different it may be. That said, there is a script that runs just before voting ends that looks for "odd" patterns of voting (ie -- all 1's) and tosses it out.
The trick, as my mother taught me, is not letting anyone know where your goat is tied, LOL. Easier said than done - but it's just a fact of life that there are those who are always ready to exploit your frustration if they know that something really frustrates you!
