While the photos that got me started in photography are hard-copy, and I don't have a scanner (nor the inclination to bother), they are all pretty much along the lines of your photo yospiff.
Black and white studies focusing far more on the play of light and the relationship of objects in a very basic way.
Yet, amazingly, they remain some of my favorite photos to this day.
Nostalgia perhaps.
