Sorry, but as you can see, the top egg is on a string. I held it with my left hand and took the shot one handed when the egg spun to a good location in line with the cracked egg. I managed to spin the cracked egg around too so that the inside of the shell would be visible.
The top shell is completely empty of "egg" using a blowout trick. You make one hole in the shell and then another smaller hole in the top and then "blow" in the top hole forcing the egg out the bottom hole. I then used a needle to run some knotted black thread up through the holes to allow it to suspend.
No waste, BTW. The blownout egg was used by my wife to make a batch of cookies. The cracked egg on the glass was given to my dogs as a treat.
