can someone tell me the best way to set up a image for 4x6 printing? i made a photo for someone at 800x468 (roughly) size and they say the tops of the heads were cut off when printing at costco
take it into photoshop and get your selection tool. Look round the top and find the dropdown box that says normal. Change that to Fixed Ratio and then in the boxes just to the right of that, put in 6 for the width and 4 for the height. Click at the top left corner and drag down over the pic. It will show you how it must be cropped to fit on a 4x6 paper. You can also select what you want to show and how you want the crop to be and just crop it that way too. Then, it will fit on any 4x6 paper and nothing will be taken off.
ETA: I hope that makes sense. I can do screenshots for you if you need them. Someone at costco doesn't know what the heck they are doing.
