No "Feast" shots for me however - no time (or patience) for taking photos when everyone is HUNGRY! :-)

Thanks. I'm pleased with the first impression. The photos in the OP are resized and usm (.35,100,10) only.

What were the specs on the fruit bowl one? I'm curious to see if this was wide open with nice bokeh like that.

eta. Also, is this the II version or the first? No II in the stats but want to be sure. I'm looking at this lens for my E3, the II version, that is.

eta again. Just checked the DPC page for the lens, you're the first owner of a Sony version so this must be the II version.

The lens is the new EX DG HSM II model. :-) I love how quiet and smooth this lens is!

Great shots!!! guess that does it...I'm not entering...nice to have the new lense? I got one for Christmas (70-300mm)...problem is...it isn't Christmas!!! I took some shots but they are to photo album....I need to think out of the box more...and get the lense....
