Hey everyone.. I'm new here and pretty new to photography - this is my first attempt at really touching up a photo to make it look like some of the ones I've seen around here... I read a few tutorials but i still have a LONG way to go.. any tips would be greatly appreciated...
Welcome! I started out the same way you did, new to photography and found DPC. That my friend is a beautiful combination. I learned pretty much everything I know about photography from DPC (and a few friends in the biz). Don't be afraid to ask questions. The comunity is more than willing to help you hone your photography skills. I recommend entering a few challenges and commenting on others' works. You'll (generally) get very good feedback from people who have been doing this for a long time, or even those who are in your shoes. What helped me was to enter lots of challenges, make lots of comments, be invlolved in the forums (the best, and I'm serious, the BEST online community) and start critiquing other shots. PS Be sure to get the correct and entire link and insert that under the picture of the globe [hyperlink]. Then that should do the trick to get your picture up.
ummm no it's not. Did you try and use the little buttons above where you type in your message? if nothing else just type the address in here and someone else will help you with it.
edit to add...I tried the link in your file and it says I need a log in name and password.
