Would you rather see McCain or Obama as president? While it might not affect you as directly as it will the American people, it does affect some non-Americans as well. Just curious as to what the rest of the world thinks of the 2 possible new Presidents (And their VP choices). I'm not looking to start a debate, just wondering what the rest of the globe thinks.
I think Obama is no different than any other politician out there but given a choice I would like to see him rather than an experienced veteran who still thinks war is an option in today's world. McCain is a relic and his thoughts are so last century that when I hear him speak I keep thinking i'm watching a skit on SNL.

I guess that is one of the differences between the democrats and republicans- as a democrat, I can still appreciate and respect McCain even though I am voting for Obama. I guess arrogance and ignorance just comes naturally for those staunch conservatives.

Yes, McCain is a good man, a war hero, someone who cares about his country, and has proven that he will sacrifice for it.
Yes, Obama is a good man, a symbol that anybody can do whatever they really set their mind to, and has proven that he really cares about this country.
They are both good people. Period. Stick to the issues, stick to what you and they believe, and leave it at that!

No. If it were someone with some experience running ANYTHING successful or a longer term of service, I could respect them as a choice. Gore for example, was a nut, but he had experience. Lieberman is a great example of someone I disagree with on many issues, who is kind and respectful.

I was sticking to the issues thank you very much. As I explained before. Obama is NOT a good man, based on his associations with vile, hateful people who seek to destroy this country. Based on his lack of any clear plan for improving this country.
I think he's probably an ok guy to sit and have a friendly discussion or lunch with. I think I would even enjoy being about Bill Clinton (not Hillary though). They can have wrong politics and still be decent enough.

You know what I want to see. ( this isn't an arsekissing post either ) I want to see the US of A become what it was before Bush and 911. People respected the US because of its fight against dictators, unlawful governments, and its protection of anyone seeking freedom or a better life. I want to see the America I knew before The War On Terrorism was begun by the king of all rednecks. I want to see the US be what it has preached to everyone on this planet that freedom is the ONE most important aspect of living on this rock and nothing can take that away. I don't see these messages being used anymore by American politicians and that's what makes me sad about the way the US is being run today. It's all about where the oil is or about who can and who can't use their resources to further their country's needs like nuclear power for electricity. It's all about who is right and who is wrong instead of working together to further your own people's needs.

Support Saddam when it's convenient then turn around and destroy his country when it's no longer convenient. Iraq is an independent country (at least it was). Whether the US administration agrees with how it was being run in irrelevant.

No, the US invaded a sovereign nation based on known (to the people telling them) lies, destroyed a government, then bungled the "post-conflict" reconstruction so badly that a civil war was allowed to start and flourish.
The quagmire in Iraq was illegal, ill-conceived and poorly executed.
