Vignetting question - DPChallenge Forums

Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II

Hi All,

After a PC swap earlier in the year I have been stuck with Photoshop 6 and I am desperately trying to work out how I can add vignetting to an image I am currently attempting to edit.

Anyone got any ideas??

Couldn't you just make a feathered oval selection and darken it...or use a burn/darken tool around the edges?

Whoops, I should probably have mentioned that I dont know how to use any version of photoshop very well :o( Was just sure I'd found a vignett type thing in a previous version of PS I had used...I could be wrong lol

Yep, on a new layer, use the oval marquee tool to make a selection, feather it, invert selection, fill, gaussian blur and blend in soft light mode.

In ACR there is a vignette slider so that might be what you are referring to.

One way I've played with is to adapt Cindi's "move the light" tutorial.. Easy! :)

eta but not as easy as rinac's method..... :)
