I'm not going to call out this troll by name, but every one of the comments he made is the same: '=]'. I wish we could do something about this sort of member.
Perhaps if a person's Ave Vote Cast falls below a certain level, they could be sent an automatic email explaining the nature of our community and some voting guidelines. Then if the voting average didn't improve within a specified length of time, the person could be blocked from voting for a while.
Hah, I just got that "comment", from a baghead... Prolly got a low vote too, but that's no surprise since the image in question is headed for my lowest score ever...
Excellent idea!!! I find that someone with such an average vote cast is not only offensive and insulting, but against the spirit of this site.
I hope Drew, Langdon and the SC will do something about it!!

I can't say that I agree with this premise. Some people vote low and that is that. As long as individuals are consistant, I truly have no problem with the way they vote, and to be honest have often wondered in awe and amazement at some of the 10 scores doled out for what on occasions are very mundane images.
Sorry about the duplicate thread. I hadn't seen the others. I can see that the "troll" seems to be a decent guy that just didn't understand the voting process here.
So perhaps the idea of sending an email, triggered by a low voting average, would be helpful, especially to for new members.
