I just read my profile stats and found that I have received an average of about 20 comments per challenge - which I think is pretty high. Maybe that's why I'm so disappointed in only having 3 for my chaos entry! I also saw that I've left more than 4x's the number of comments I have recieved - and that's not including the current challenge where I commented on all of them. The entry was also one that I think is my second favorite of all my entries, yet I guess it just hasn't stuck a chord with the voters.
Someone said the votes are more important than the comments, but I disagree. Especially when it's a photo that I particularly like and maybe I'm not impartial enough to figure out the flaws. Oh well...it's almost over and maybe I'll get some more comments later.
Actually, you were one who did leave one of my three comments and I will have a question for you when the challenge is over.

Does this mean you scored me a "1" thinking that I took a picture of a painting or something? If you don't like the photo at all, that's cool, but I want to know if you gave it the benefit of the doubt.
I think it does almost look like a painting, but it is a photo taken at an Easter Play. Your comment is why I decided maybe I should have it validated. Thanks for the comment though...I do appreciate that you took the time to consider the shot. Here's my entry:
Wow. That shot was great. I gave it a 7. I also wondered if it was a photo of preexisting art. I gave it the benefit of the doubt while voting but I agree that validating may have helped. I can't believe you only got 3 comments (although I shouldn't talk since I didn't comment on it. Don't have that much free time lately.) Congratulations on an excellent photograph.

Well, I had already decided to not pm anyone during voting anymore. After all, it's really just not worth aggravating anyone.
So I'm assuming ,then, that your low score was made on your thought that this was a painting, and not strictly based on not liking the photo at all? One vote really doesn't matter, but if I'm correct and that is the case, maybe in the future it would be more fair to ask for a validation and reserve your vote until proof is provided....or, as the rules state, vote as if is it legal until proven otherwise.
Just a thought. I like the photo alot, but that's based on my own beliefs and the fact that it did turn out the way I had hoped.
Kosta I must be missing your point. You have entered pictures of musicians playing instruments into challenges. You have entered images of buildings, fountains, and objects that were not your creation. What exactly is it about someone who takes pictures of a play or painting that you object?

Garrywhite makes a good point. I think I want to go back and revote on the postcards challenge. You didn't design those buildings and fountain did you? It's too bad, you deserve a 1.

If Judy were to PM you during the challenge it appears that you would be unhappy. If she PM'd you after the challenge, your second look would be of no value.
Even if Judy's photo had been that of a painting, I beg to understand your criteria in the differnce between her photographing someone elses art, with that of photographs you have taken of others art.
I don't want to keep hammering on this, you're a great photographer and I do value your opinion.
