A few months ago, I was contacted by a High School, asking if I would take on a 15 year old Work Experience girl. I agreed and took her under my wing for 4 days that was spread over about 6 weeks. She is only new to town and hasn't had much time to settle in yet. Here were her duties -
Day 1 - Assist myself and my assistant at a large wedding.
Day 2 - Assist and model for me at a Workshop I taught at.
Day 3 - Go bush with another DPC member and myself where she learnt to look for things that she wouldn't normally see in nature and to try new angles. This helps with your skills even in Portraiture.
Day 4 - Take a series of SP's and process the images in CS2 (my CS3 had to be uninstalled that morning due to computer issues but is back on now...thank goodness)
On Day 4 I had her working CS2 with two monitors completely on her own. She had textures, masks, Adjustment Layers and all sorts of things happening. She picked things up quickly and understood what I was teaching her.
The school was in touch with me after her second day and they were stunned at how 'she has blossomed under your TLC and is now showing maturity in areas the other children don't'. They were very excited. They were already fully aware the effect my photography classes had on their Year 9's/10's last year...lol!
Here are her results of her time with me. Keep in mind that these were all taken in natural light on a white background and she was holding the remote. I was very proud of her.
I think she did pretty good with the editing, its out there for sure but I think the only down side is her poses, you have 3 images here with the exact same pose. Now not to hold that against her she's only 4 days old, but overall I think she did amazing to pick up CS2 that fast and have the ability to do exactly what you ask of her.

Thanks Joe...I will tell her that. She did do other poses....but those were the ones she chose to work with.
Ditto what dirt_diver pointed out, but I get the feeling that she is unsure of herself and a bit self-conscious so that is why she chose those. She has some really nice and different images here, any chance she's joining the DPC soon? So nice to see just 2 days helped her so much outside of photography. You're awesome.
I have to admit when I started reading your post I was a wondering...the high school called to have her help a 15yr old with pictures...have they not seen Judi's nudes? I hope this ends well. :) lol glad it did.
