Why is it that some (frankly republican types ) feel that when there is a "patriotic event" (a fundraiser for troops or something like that) the featured performer has to be a country group. Here is a newsflash to conservatives. COUNTRY MUSIC AT EVENTS IS LIKE PUTTING A WHITES ONLY SIGN ON THE DOOR.
There is an event this weekend that I have sent a contribution to benefit military families (I can separate my views on the war from supporting our military families) that I won't go anywhere near because the full show is country music. At the RNC what was the featured music COUNTRY (and kool and the gang and bon jovi music that wasn't licensed) ALL of the 911 tributes COUNTRY...

I understand that you don't like "white" music. I do find it a shame that in this day and age one can actually say that a choice of music is racist. I will say this much.. i am glad you associate patriotic country music with my race and the woman degrading crime glorifying rap with yours. If it were the other way around I would feel ashamed of my race. To say that you give Country the same reaction as the vile filth put out by gangsta rappers is to say you think that both are equally reprehensible.

A new low? what was my previous low? Believing in Christ? What exactly are you accusing me of. It is the OP who sees racist overtones to everything... I think it is offensive and ridiculous to label an event as "whites only" because it features country music. If he doesn't like this style of music that's one thing but to insinuate racism based on a choice of music for a particular venue is retarded. I don't think I've ever read anything more racist than the OP on these forums ever. Why should I not be outraged? why isn't anyone else. Am I to just sit by idly and allow country music which I love to be put into the same category as the vile filth of gangsta rap? If they played gangsta rap at the convention would that be the same as putting up a "blacks only" sign? It's ridiculous and offensive.

You really need to sit down with a copy of the OP's submission and your comments and you will understand exactly what it is that was said. In an effort to help you, you truly should focus on the bold parts.
As far as being outraged, I can't say that I am as it relates to the OP's comments, but your response is truly something to behold. I fear that perhaps your level of comprehension might be wanting if this is how you interpreted the comments made by the OP.
