I was hanging with a 5D DPC user the other day and was really floored by the quality while checking out his camera and he forced me to get the D700.
Here are a few shots I took while walking home from B&H playing with a bunch if different settings. I still need to work out some things and mostly get used to the full frame. Losing the 1.5 crop factor after 5 years will be strange for a little while.
I seem to be nearly invisible here these days but I'll bump for old times sake.
I am also pretty invisible these days, dont know why I can't seem to fit in here(maybe I should learn to spell). So here's another bump for you, and Congrats on the new gear!!!!

Wow nice and congratulations. I can't swing a D700 but I am saving my money for the D300. Do you still recommend the D300? Enjoy your camera.
The D300 kicks all kinds of ass. I would definitely recommend one. I'm keeping mine as a back-up. I bought the D700 because I have a big job next week that will include a few Architectural shots and the really low noise level so that was my main excuse to get one. That and I think the image quality is stunning though not as good as the D3. Even though they use the same chip I think the D3 looks better.
