Let me start by saying that I not really new to the site. I have been registered for quite a while. I forgot exactly how I stumbled upon it, but immediately I was impressed by the quantity of quality photographs that you guys have taken and posted here.
This past May, I just finished school in NYC, and in August I started my full time job in midtown, working in finance. At school I was on the crew team for 4 years. That combined with all the school work I had to do meant that I just couldn't find the time to shoot specifically for the various challenges here, but whenever I could, I would get out and shoot something. Since photography became a serious hobby of mine after my sophomore year in college, I have amassed a great many images of rowing and the culture surrounding it, as well as some great shots of the New York.
Now that my life has settled down a bit, I want to increase my involvement in this website. At the very least I will try to enter the free studies. I will also try to vote more (or at all). I look forward to competing against all of you to bring my photography to the next level.
