OK. I am finally happy with a submission and I already have to provide proof. Is this normal for an image that is doing better?
Anyway, my question is what exactly do I need to submit? All I have with me today is a tif that I pulled from the camera last night. It hasn't been altered at all. Is that good enough or do they want the raw file that is at home on my camera still?
This is all new to me so I am not quite sure of what I am asked to send in.
you will need to submit the original file as it came from the camera.
Also when you send the original file, include the steps you took to edit it, dont worry you dont have to list them in order, just say something like:
Unsharp mask applied (or sharpening) auto levels, adjusted contrast and brightness, and so on.
I keep on getting errors trying to submit the photo. One of them said a valid image ID is required... Is this normal. I am willing to bet its because I am trying to download an 18 med file...
Eric, Zip the file, "make sure it is an original with EXIF" this will bring the file size down to about 9 Megs. then upload the zipped file. It will keep the EXIF information intact. Its pretty normal to be asked to send proof, if your shot is unusual, or very good. So, Congratulations on an unusual and good shot.
I don't think I understand what EXIF means exactly. Is that from the "raw file" or can it be retreived from the "tif file" as well..?

Because it downloads them onto my computer as a tif file. I can't work with a raw with the version of photoshop I have.
