With a plastic water or soda bottle, put a little water in there and some small pieces of the dry ice. Tighten the cap, put down on the ground, and run! Pretty good explosion! Soda bottles seem to work better, the plastic is thicker allowing more pressure to build before exploding. Have fun!

Just be EXTREMELY careful doing something like that, as you can be seriously hurt or killed as well as unless you are in the middle of a farmers field you could get the cops called on you as it pretty much is a bomb...
Putting a dish of it above and behind a backlit subject can give you some cool "fog" effects as it drifts down.

This may not be photo worthy but make what you want of it. Take a nickle and stand it up on a cube of dry ice and let it melt into it about a 1/4 inch by pressing down on it, then let go. Watch it wiggle away and produce a weird sound at the same time. ;]
We used to drop big chunks of it in toilet bowls at work at the start of lunch.
