Black & white fits this image very well and the exposure is spot on. The store is pulling the viewer in through this dark abyss. The barely visible marquis above the window acts as bit of a tease and yields to the backlit sign inside of the shop that is more alluring and captivating. There are a lot of right angles at play - from the stone path to the 4 windows to the placard on the wall and many of the items inside the windows. These are, of course complemented by the circles in the poster center frame. The passerby adds life to the scene as the chocolatier inside is barely visible and continues his work unnaffected by what's going on in the darkness. A very engaging image.

I'm glad to see you beat your expected score but I felt this should have scored higher than your dream score. I imagined a little story about the person who was disappointed because the store was closed. I loved the silhouetted of the person and the highlights of the activity in the store inside. I think signal2noise probably described it best.
