I know tons of people post their business cards for comments, but I would like to add to the pool. I created these two cards today and am not sure which one to use. The way my resources run I cannot do front and back. If I could I would put my picture on the back of the plain one with only text. Anywho, any thoughts?
Although the alignment on the word 'photography' at the top looks weird. Try lining the edge of the 'y' up with the 's' instead. Also, are you putting your phone number on these cards?
I commented on them both but I thought they were one card, front and back. Sorry. I would use a pictured business card, you're a photographer afterall, it would seem only fitting. imo.
I, too, like the card w/ photo. The only thing I would question is the term, "Headshots". Is this normal lay terminology or professional terminology? If this is the accepted term, then please ignore my comments, but I find the term rather base and somewhat grating.

I was thinking the same thing, but I definitely like the first. Also, if possible something like "claire@....com" sounds more personal than "mail@...com".
The term Head Shot is used quite a bit in the modeling and entertainment industry. Claire works with a lot of models. Take a look at her head shot portfolio here. :-)

I agree on that front. I stumbled a bit when I saw that as well... thought to comment and then didn't.
Funny, I changed that after everyone complained that my email address was clairemcadamsphotography@yahoo.com because it was a yahoo address...but what else can I make it because it has to be ...@clairemcadamsphotography.com which is really long. Claire@clairemcadamsphotography.com is awkward...any thoughts?

I dunno, I just feel that putting Claire in there tells me that I'm talking directly to you ... not the Webmaster, not the hired help. It just seems more personal.
i kind of think that the email address is toooooo loooonnnnggggg. Can you get another domain name of cmp.com or something, have email for that domain name and then have cmp.com redirect to the really long url?

See but neither of these are redundant because neither of you have your actual NAME in your domain name. Mine would have claire twice, which seems redundant :(
Do you have a nickname? Maybe that could work. But honestly, the redundancy only reinforces in my mind that I'm dealing with "the" person in charge. I don't mind it at all.
I thought about that, but my initials are JCM and that would calls all of the "what is the j for" and "why do you go by claire instead of your first name" and "I like your first name better" and all that annoying stuff that comes with people discovering my first name isn't claire...I am going to go with claire@clairemcadamsphotography.com and everyone who has my card better know my name :-D

But after reading, I understand that it is an accepted term, but let's just say it is not in Asia.

Haha yeah. %95 percent of my income comes from actor headshots so it is a really common term amongst the people who come to me for photos and the people I work with.

i prefer the second one (without image) because it looks more professional, and appears to be more graceful.
i think placing a "sample" photo on the business card will subconsciously limit what the customer think you can do with your camera. remember the same photo does not mean the same reaction from everybody. just my take.
