For my non-landscape shot I edited it on my pc at home with a Sony flat screen monitor. I was pleased as the photo was nice and bright and there was good detail in the birds eye .... After the deadline when I looked at the submitted photo on my pc at work with a Xerox flat screen monitor it looked way too dark, the detail in the eye was all gone!
I am wondering which looks best on most peoples monitors, the second image I edited at work to look how the first one looks at home! Can you see the detail in the eye of the first one?
The darker one is way murky-looking. The lighter one is pretty much on target, as far as my monitor goes (a calibrated LaCie 22-inch CRT graphic arts monitor)
Ok, that's very interesting, thank you very much for your assistance ... my monitor at home is not calibrated, I will google and give it a go and see if that makes it better.
