Hi all. I am currently traveling with my family. We stayed for a week in LA (great experience) and tomorrow we head for San Francisco. We will take the Amtrack and we hope it will be a great trip.

While I am hooked to my wife's schedule (she planned the trip as I was working...) I wonder if there's any event outing smthg going on I might attend. Any other advices on spots are greatly welcomed.

I like America! First time here and definitely not the last one...

You can check out the listings on the San Francisco Chronicle website to see if anything catches your eye. The Berkeley kite festival is going on this weekend, as well as a jazz festival in North Beach (SF). ETA: So is the tall ships festival down at Fort Mason.

SF is a great walking city, so you'll find plenty to shoot even without any event. Leave your hotel. Turn right. or left. walk two blocks. turn left again. get lost. have fun.

EstimatedEyes you were right. Very photogenic city. I was lucky to get a clear weather as well. I still have 3 more days to enjoy. Off to the Golden Gate in 5 min...
