I just seem to have all kinds of problems with fotolia, huh? ;)
Has anyone else tried to use ftp to upload to fotolia? I never could get it to work and ended up using their flash client. I used the login id (numeric) and password (userid+password) they provide on the ftp help page, but it never worked.
Support wasn't very helpful -- suggested I use a different ftp client (I already tried three different ones, and the error message I receive is clearly "550 Login incorrect" which indicates a userid or password failure) and closed my help request.
I've only used FTP with them -- the only site I don't use it for is iStock ...
I use a dedicated FTP program (Wise.FTP), but I can't remember now if I had problems getting it to work ... I note for the login I have my used ID number only, not my username.
I've used command-line ftp clients on linux, aix and winblows (cygwin and MS).
Same error on all. I'm using the numeric userid it says I should on the "ftp upload" page, and the password is "usernamepassword", where "username" is my fotolia username and "password" is my fotolia password (as the ftp upload page says to do).
