There are about 35-40 balloons usually at this event and is very weather dependent. It's held at a park alongside a smallish airport which is where the balloons take off. We're not talking scenic vistas here, unless you start following the balloons across some of the farmland after take off.
Anyone want to meet up for this? There are food venders on site as well as music, craft booths, etc. I would suggest getting there around 5:00 or so on Saturday, stay through the evening launch and finish the night with the balloon glow.

Oh...it is held in Middletown Ohio, which is somewhat between Dayton and Cincinnati.
I got a wedding that day, sorry. I'd like to make a balloon event, but don't they usually launch about sunrise?
They have sunrise launches that fly INTO the park, but the evening launches leave from the park. I don't know where they take off from on the morning launches.
