Story in this thread.
I'll add a few comments here and there, and I'll break the shots up by location. Any help with bird (or insect) ID's would be greatly appreciated.
Mallard Overlook and nearby road/dike:
   
  
  
I finally got a GBH ... kinda. He was hiding in the cattails right next to the road and I didn't even see him, Until he took off and scared the heck out of me! There are at least two bird species in the tree in the pond, can anyone ID?
Ring Neck Marsh Overlook:
There wasn't much activity right at the overlook, and I didn't feel like hiking through too much mud today, but there was a nest box with a (bluebird?) darting in and out every few minutes. I was able to use my car as a blind and get really close!

This is as close as I could get. (and as close as anyone should get) Shot at 420mm on a 1.3 crop camera (300 + 1.4TC).
Route 77 / On the way home:
There are way too many trucks for this guy to be playing (well ... basking) in the middle of the road! He'll probably go right back where he was but I felt better moving him off the road.
