I have searched and pondered. I'm far away from the cities. While there is some recycling, it's small potatoes. I think this challenge favors the urban dweller. And, that's where the recycling, re-use thing needs to happen. It's not that those of us in the rural areas are not consumers, we are! But, it's just that the people who fill the largest portion of the landfills live in the congested areas of civilization. I'm still searching for an image of a recycle, re-use subject, but it seems to be about 50 miles removed. The price of gas is a real cost. And, in the spirit of the challenge, maybe I should bike down the hill.

I agree. while there will always be a few narrow definers out there, the challenge seems to merely be about environmentalism instead of specifically "reduce, reuse, recycle".

I agree with you both. I have a plan of a shot which fits within the description to the letter, but I shall be more open when I vote.
Agreed with all the previous (while not actually running the quotes). It's about the green ideology rather than the colour.
I'll enter something that works for me but probably won't work for dpc.
The green image is hijacked by eg car companies who constantly strive to make more environmentally friendly vehicles. The trick is that only the newest cars are the most environmentally friendly, so everyone has to buy a new car to ease their environmental conscience. The ever increasing number of second hand vehicles and scrap that this creates is of course left out of the reckoning.
The 'successful', ie ribboning images on dpc will probably be clean and neat, just like the car adverts. It may well be, though, that getting down and dirty and fixing something instead of throwing it away would be doing the planet more of a favour than wearing the industry badge...
