I hadn't seen anyone post anything about this yet, so here goes... I just came across this from another site. Been poking around a little, and it looks interesting:
They also have The Photoshelter Blog, which seems to have some interesting information on shooting stock.
I have created a Phoenix, Arizona forum group for anyone else in the Phoenix area who wants to get together and do something for the event, or just network with other stock photographers.
Anyway, I just wanted to pass that along. If it turns out to be crap, don't shoot the messenger. ;) (GET IT?! SHOOT! HAR HAR HAR HAR!) If anyone does know anything about this event and/or is going to participate in it, feel free to follow-up with more info.
Checked it out, registered, and thinking of submitting pictures as well as participating in Shoot!TheDay. Lots of prizes from Nikon and Adorama! Plus, it looks like you get to set your own prices on your pics. cool.

I've scheduled at least one event in the Phoenix area. Time's a-getting-near if anyone else feels like playing along on Sunday.
The actual deadline for photos is July 27, and I've confirmed with the moderators that you can continue shooting all the way up to the deadline. Some awesome cameras and goodies can be won if you submit some cool stuff!

You can submit images (as well as shoot) between July 20-27 (not just on the 20th). If you want to be "in the contest" for the actual prizes, you need to have them uploaded to Photoshelter by the 27th.

By the way, it takes a day or more to get your photoshelter account created, so if you're not already a member and you want to be in the contest, be sure to at least open your account before the 25/26 (at the latest) so it's approved in time for you to submit on or before the 27th.
