I would find it useful if a Glossary was included giving a brief description of Photographic Terms that you could refer to, ie a description of Desaturating an image. What DOF means etc.

There are several different ones that were either on computer or came with camera's

I have a copy of PhotoDeluxe that came with my scanner, but can't find it. Its the predecessor to Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Elements and Photoshop you would:Image>Adjustment>Hue/Saturation>Edit click on which color you want removed by pushing the bar on the saturation bar to the left.
I'll P.M. you if I find my copy, but if not try doing the above.
I have PhotoDeluxe (4.1 but I had 2.0 and it is the same with tiny add-ons).

The problem with just doing this is that it desaturates the whole photo, there isn't the ablity to select just one color to keep.
I haven't played with it too much, but would selecting the blue stair rail, then inverting the selection so that it had all the rest selected, and then desaturating work? The problem with this is that it isn't DPC Basic rules legal.
Edit: Just tested this technique, only did part to try it out.
Details:
- Open Selection tool
- In drop-down menu choose Color Wand - Press the Add + button
- Select the things you want to remain in color (you can choose Remove - if you mess-up and then reselect Add +)
- Press the Invert button when you are done
- Desaturate that area
There is actually an in-site page on it too, I'd forgotten both about it and the "How'd They Do That?" section (just skipped right to "Tutorials" all the time). However, this also deals with the ability to do individual colors, which PhotoDeluxe can't do.
