While driving home through the Cascade Mountains (Washington State) this weekend I ran into, but didn’t hit, a black bear feeding along the road just east of Steven's. He apparently (my guess was a young male) was short on food, as the mountains are still pretty well covered in snow, so was eating grass right alongside the road. He caused a mini traffic jam which did not seem to bother him much. Here are a few shots with the disclaimer that the light was very low, it was raining, I was using 400mm at 1/40th to 1/90th at high ISO, etc, etc.
