Well it was definitely an experience. I ended with a 4.598 (can't I just say 4.6? ;) in 254th place out of 329. Thank you to those that commented.
Guess I need to get used to this. I thought the technical end of the photo & meeting the challenge requirements would count for more. The 3-1's, 18- 2's & 38-3's weren't pleasing to the eyes. Having some votes on the higher end was nice to see after watching the avg all week. The 6 votes in 8,9&10...thank you whoever you are! Even I wouldn't have rated it that high. I knew it wasn't household wall art going in, but you helped battle some of those lower ones ;)
Being used to photographing outdoors & using natural lighting to my advantage, it's definitely a challenge to force myself to do things indoors & I was pleased with the way this photo turned out, In case any of you didn't figure it out, it's a refection in the black front of my stove. And I DID have to clean it first!
Ok, I cheated a bit....the only light souce was from the back door & windows....lol Old habits die hard!
I'll try to relax a bit more while I watch my Mag cover & orange entries get torn to shreads...
Hey, that's pretty good -- I've found that abstracts don't usually do so great here, so this was a tough challenge to jump in on. If the score is important you'll gradually get a sense of what (sometimes) does well here. But I usually just submit something I like for feedback and don't worry about the numerical part.
