Concept, composition, lighting, A+. Soft focus implementation... well, needs work. What you have really just looks OOF, to be blunt. What you *should* have is visible detail, but with a soft "glow." Start with a sharp original, maybe even a timy bit *too* sharp, and apply a gaussian blur. Then fade the blur to about 35% or to taste (or apply the blur to a duplicate layer and adjust opacity). Now use a layer mask to cut back the blur intensity some more on eyes, lips, and wherever desired. |
